Florida law requires that your care begin within 14 days of the accident. If distance, work, or a car you no longer have is what is standing in the way, a televisit is a way to begin.

What happens on the televisit?
It is a real visit with the doctor, not a form and not an intake call with staff. You talk to Dr. Koser directly.
- Your history, in detail. How the crash happened, where the car was struck, what you felt then, and what you feel now.
- What can be assessed on camera. Range of motion, how you are holding yourself and where you are guarding, visible swelling or bruising, and how you move getting into and out of a chair. Dr. Koser watches you move and tells you what he is seeing.
- A screen for the findings that change the plan. Certain symptoms after a collision need a medical workup rather than conservative care, and the point of doing this early is to catch them early.
- Movements you can start at home. Shown to you on video and adjusted to what you can actually do that week.
- Imaging ordered when it is warranted. If your history points at something that needs a picture, Dr. Koser can order it near you rather than making you drive to Tampa for it.
- Referral when someone else is the right next stop. Physical therapy, your primary care physician, or a medical specialist, depending on what your history shows.
- Coordination of the rest of your care, including what to tell your insurer and what documentation your case will need.
What still has to happen in person
A televisit is a genuine entry point for care, and there is great value in having a hands-on evaluation when that is possible. A chiropractic examination uses palpation, certain orthopedic testing, and neurological testing that a camera cannot do. A lot of chiropractic treatment is hands-on too, including spinal adjustments and manual muscle therapies.

Why the 14 days matter
Florida’s no-fault law, called PIP (personal injury protection), requires an initial medical visit within 14 days of the accident to keep those benefits. That clock starts on the date of the crash, not the date the pain got bad enough to do something about.
That timing is the reason this visit exists. Pain from a collision often arrives days later, and by the time it does, some of the 14 days are gone.

Florida law requires that initial care begin within 14 days of the accident, and whether your insurer pays for any particular visit is a decision your insurer makes under your policy.
Do you still have to examine me in person?
Yes, for the hands-on part. What do I need for the visit?
A phone or computer with a camera, somewhere private, your accident date, and your auto insurance information if you have it. If you have a police report or photos of the vehicles, have those handy too.
