- A complete examination with Dr. Koser, which may include a live ultrasound look at the muscles and soft tissue where it hurts.
- Treatment the same visit unless the examination finds a reason it should not: a chiropractic adjustment, dry needling, cupping, laser, or electrical stimulation with infrared, chosen from what the examination finds and what is safe for you.
- Your findings explained the same day.

Florida’s PIP law is strict about timing. Treatment generally must begin within 14 days of the crash. Miss the window and you can lose coverage you already paid for.
You don’t need an attorney to be seen, and you don’t need to know what your policy covers before you call. We verify your PIP coverage before you are treated and tell you what we find. If you already have an attorney, we coordinate with them.
Dry Needling, By Feel or Guided by Live Ultrasound
Most dry needling is done by feel. Some areas, we’d rather see.
Thin needles placed into the muscle to treat trigger points and myofascial pain. Most trigger points are treated by feel, and that works. But some muscles sit deep, and feel is a guess. For those, we bring in live ultrasound, so we can see the needle reach the exact spot we’re treating. You watch it happen on the screen with us. Your ultrasound image and written findings go in your chart.

Meet Dr. Bobby Koser, DC.
Before opening here he spent four years inside an ambulatory spine surgery center and a multidisciplinary spine practice, reading MRI and CT studies alongside neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and interventional pain physicians to help flag potential surgical candidates for referral.
Dr. Koser is certified in acupuncture by the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine and in dry needling by the Florida Department of Health. Both are offered at the Carrollwood office.

What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit includes a hands-on exam and a review of your history and goals. For a Pain Source Exam it may also include a live ultrasound look at the muscles and soft tissue where it hurts. We explain what we found and outline a plan before you leave.
Does insurance cover treatment?
Coverage varies by plan and by service. Dry needling here is self-pay, at the flat price you see before you book. Prices shown on this site are our time-of-service rates, available when you pay in full at the visit. Car-accident cases work differently. Florida PIP may cover care, but treatment generally must begin within 14 days of the crash, and care billed to a third-party payor is billed on our standard fee schedule without that discount.
Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?
They work from different frameworks. Acupuncture is based on traditional Chinese medicine. Dry needling targets specific muscles based on your exam and, for the deep-muscle regions we image, on what the ultrasound shows. Dr. Koser is certified in acupuncture by the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine and in dry needling by the Florida Department of Health, so you get whichever approach fits your case.
Is ultrasound-guided dry needling more effective?
Ultrasound guidance is a way of performing the procedure more precisely, not a different treatment, and seeing the needle does not change what the needling does.
