Your medical records and health information held by the practice are protected under HIPAA and are covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is posted in our office and available on request. If there is any conflict between this policy and the Notice of Privacy Practices regarding health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.
The About page and our location pages embed a Google Maps map of the office. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address under Google’s privacy policy, the same as when you open Google Maps directly.
What we collect on this site
- Information you type into forms. If you email us, we receive what you send, typically your name, contact details, and your message. We use it to respond to you and for no other purpose. Ordinary email is not a secure channel, so please do not send detailed health information by email; that conversation belongs in the office.
- Online booking. Appointment booking runs on Jane, a scheduling platform operated by Jane Software Inc., on its own site (healthspinechiropractic.janeapp.com). Information you enter there is processed by Jane on our behalf under a written agreement. Jane's own privacy practices also apply on its pages.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets cookies and collects device and usage data such as browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location. A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site. We do not send Google your name, health information, or appointment details. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and your written consent, we may send you text messages, including appointment-related messages and, separately and only with your express consent, messages inviting you to share feedback or a review after a visit. Consent is not a condition of receiving care. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages and HELP for help. We honor opt-outs promptly and, at most, send one message confirming your opt-out. We do not sell your mobile number and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
